Calgary Motorcycle Course FAQ

What are the requirements in order to take the OMG’s Motorcycle Training?

  • You must have a valid class 7 learner’s license or higher.
  • You must be 16 years of age or older.
  • You must have a DOT approved helmet.
  • You must have eye protection (sunglasses, glasses, or shield on helmet)
  • You must have a strong and sturdy jacket and pants (Jeans or Leather).
  • You must have boots that covers the ankles. (No runners, they are for running not riding).

How much does the Calgary motorcycle course cost?

  • The cost is $575.00 plus GST
  • Fees for the Class 6 driver’s license testing are NOT included in the course fee.
  • Class 6 Driver’s license is provided by the AB registry directly.

 How long is the motorcycle training course?

  • The weekday course is Monday to Thursday 6 pm to 10 pm
  • The weekend course is held on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 5:30 pm

What are the risks of taking the motorcycle training course?

  • At OMG, we take safety very seriously,  it is always our number one focus,  we take every precaution to minimize any risk of accidents happening while in training with us.  However, the students will need to understand no matter how much precaution we take, the risk will always exist, and the students must acknowledge and accept the possibility of any bodily injury and potential of damage to their property while taking the motorcycle training with OMG.  A release of liability must be signed by adult students and the parents or guardians of minor students before taking the motorcycle training course at OMG.

What is the refund policy?

  • A full refund will be provided if OMG cancels the course.
  • $100.00 fee will be charged if student cancels the course less than 14 days in advance.
  • No refund will be given, if students fail to attend.
